Senior Product Developer

About the Role: Our Senior Product Developer plays a key role in collaborating with our designers to transform ideas into finished market-ready products. While designers focus on the creative vision and aesthetics of colour, fabrication, and style - the product developer is an experienced and detail driven team member that ensures that vision is executed effectively, cost-efficiently, and on schedule.
Working closely with design, garment tech and production teams, you will be responsible for the entire product development process and execution, driving critical path deadlines, communication with factories, sample management of tech packs and costings.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Collaborates with designers to understand the design intent and collection objectives.
• Helps create or refine tech packs (technical specifications for garments).
• Works with CADs in Adobe Illustrator to ensure tech packs accurately reflect construction details and design intent for factory communication.
• Builds and maintains strong relationships with manufacturing partners.
• Negotiates costs to hit margin and lead times to meet seasonal targets without compromising quality.
• Sources fabrics, trims, and materials that align with quality, price, sustainability, and performance standards.
• Places P1 and SMS orders and sends tech packs to factories.
• Maintains sampling and trims tracker.
• Responsible to upload all product data with high integrity.
• Manages all preparation needed for ranging meetings, capturing feedback from ranging and communicating to direct and broader team.
• Supports in developing trims, hardware when required from design team.
• Works with manufacturing teams to ensure timelines are met.
• Ensures products meet brand quality standards, safety requirements and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:
• 5 + year’s in Product Development within fashion apparel, trims and hardware.
• Experience in tech pack refinement and creation.
• Proficient in working with CADs in Adobe Illustrator to support tech pack preparation and factory communication.
• Highly proficient with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Advanced Excel skills.
