Step inside the creative process with Hannah Buckle, our print designer and the artist behind our Coastline print. In this exclusive behind-the-scenes conversation, Hannah shares the journey from idea to print, and how she brought this story to life in three key silhouettes.
What was the inspiration behind the print?
I was inspired by the Australian coastline and the nostalgic charm of vintage stamps and postcards. I wanted the palette to evoke the moment where sand meets sea — those sun-bleached hues that capture the essence of long, hot summer days. There’s a sense of 70s surf nostalgia woven through it all, a reflection of the laid-back spirit that defines Australian culture.
Can you talk us through each silhouette?
This print was brought to life across three key silhouettes — a flowing midi dress, a timeless mini, and one of our most-loved styles, the playsuit. Woven through each design are subtle nods to our favourite Australian holiday destinations, alongside tributes to KIVARI’s own coastal store locations — a celebration of the places that inspire us most.
What was the decision- making process like for the colours and composition within the print?
This design was extremely fun to create and we were able to use such a vast variety of colours. We feature a range of soft pastels throughout the print which was inspired by the sea and the sky at sunrise and decided to set these against a soft neutral base.

Which is your favourite silhouette?
The Playsuit! I love the adjustable tie belt, it is the perfect accessory to the outfit.
